| Here are a few pictures taken on a recent visit (by road) to the village of Rowhedge on the banks of the River Colne near Colchester. There are some large industrial warehouses on the south side of the village but the centre still retains some of the charm of Rowhedge's heyday as a fishing port and home for some top skippers and crews from fishing smacks who also crewed in the monster Victorian and Edwardian racing yachts. | |
